Writers on the Heath

There are presently no open calls for submissions.

Thank you for entering the competition run by Writers on the Heath. This competition, as well as the Writers on the Heath writers group, are run as a not-for-profit writing group. 
 
To enter you must satisfy the following requirements:
There is an entry fee of £2.50 to enter the competition. The closing date for entries is 10th September 2017 no later than 23:59 hours. Submissions after that deadline will be automatically rejected. Only submissions of less than 250 words will be accepted. Any submissions which exceed that word count will be automatically rejected by Submittable.

Submissions should be written under the Crime genre. If they do not, they may be rejected. You will still be charged if your submission does not fit into the Crime genre, but is submitted.
 
After the closing date, a shortlist will be announced and put before a panel of independent judges to determine the winner.
 
Writers on the Heath will reserve the publishing rights for three months from when the winner is announced the winner and the competition. Participants are then free to publish their own work.
 
The overall winner will receive a £25.00 cash prize.
